The import regulations of Taiwanese some VOCCs

Due to the fact that some consignees in Taiwan have not obtained the original bill of lading or have not exchanged the deliver order and have gone through the customs supervision to cut off the seal to see the goods, or the customs inspection and cut off the seal during the customs clearance process, the disputes on the rights of goods and the abandonment of the goods occurred. Therefore, some shipping companies in Taiwan have stipulated that the import consignee must complete the exchange D/O before opening the container for inspection/seeing the goods. Importers are requested to pay special attention to this rule to avoid delays in the delivery time of container and increase un-necessary expenses.
Based on this, SEAMAX has made the following suggestions for importers' reference and response:
1. If the delivery is by telegraphic surrendered, the shipper shall complete the telegraphic surrendered procedures in time at the
    loading port.

2. If the original bill of lading is used for delivery, please obtain the original bill of lading as soon as possible.
3. If you really need to check the goods before picking up the container, please ask the shipper to arrange for the shipping company
    without the above regulations.
