import postponed in China owing to machine installed computer monitor non 3C
The so-called "3C" certification or "CCC" label is the abbreviation of the English name of "China Compulsory Certification" in mainland China. It was announced on December 3, 2001, and the first batch of certification applications began to be accepted on May 1, 2002. The certification unit was the China Quality Certification Center in Mainland China (CQC).
China’s CCC is national treatment rule, but all imported from overseas or made in China must have 3C certification before sales. Computer monitors belong to category 9 in the list of products that require compulsory certification.
Because computer monitors are classified as items that require certification, the inspection and quarantine category is L at the time of import declaration. In addition to the CCC mark and certification number of the product itself, also necessary to provide a certification for customs check out.
Also because computer monitors are classified as items requiring certification, there is doubt as to whether the computer monitors installed on the machine also need to be certified products, which in turn leads to customs clearance of some machines. Our company consulted various ports related detp. in China. The unit has received different opinions. Some ports can declare smooth import according to the entire machine tariff code, and some ports will check the computer monitor on the machine for 3C.
Accordingly, in order to avoid the uncertainty of customs clearance, our company recommends that exporters choose 3C-certified computer monitors do machine installing, or directly purchase and install them in China.
