1. 40’DC with an overweight permit is allowed to have a total weight of 42 tons --> excluding 12.5 tons of the truck head and rack, the empty container weighs about 5 tons, and the cargo weight should be controlled within 24.5 tons.
2. It is not possible to apply for an overweight pass for a 20’DC. Regulations allow a total weight of 31.5 tons --> minus the truck head + rack, which is 11 tons, the empty container weighs about 2.5 tons. Please control the cargo weight within 18 tons.
If someone is overweight after a comprehensive weighing is implemented in the future, the police will issue a ticket immediately. If there are any violations, they should be ordered to make corrections or be prohibited from passing on the spot.
A fine of NT$10,000 will also be imposed. If the overload is less than 10 tons, an additional fine of NT$1,000 will be imposed for each ton of the total overload,
If the overload exceeds 10 to 20 tons, an additional fine of NT$2,000 will be imposed for each ton of the total overload,
If the overload exceeds 20 to 30 tons, an additional fine of NT$3,000 will be imposed for each metric ton of the total overload,
If the overload exceeds 30 tons, an additional fine of NT$5,000 will be imposed for each ton of the total overload.
Any quantity less than one ton shall be calculated as one ton.
